I’m sorry for all the reblogs lately but I have been in another CFIDS flare that leaves me with very little energy to do much. I received this wonderful devotional the other day and I think the idea is a fantastic one. I rarely make New Year’s resolutions because my “new normal” life is so unpredictable, given the too-many-times I have to stop and sleep or rest. If there is a chance I cannot finish what I start—and these days that’s pretty much a given—I don’t even want to waste precious time and energy thinking about it.

I’ve told the story many times of talking impatiently with my wife one Sunday morning and having my nine-year-old son interject, “Daddy, is this the way a Christian man should be talking to his wife?”
Rather sarcastically I said, “What do you think?” He replied, “It doesn’t make any difference what I think — what does God think?”
