The song “Noel” is a newer version of the classic Christmas song. This version was written by Chris Tomlin and features Lauren Daigle. The lyrics are beautiful and the tune is soothing and peaceful. Contemplate the Savior’s glorious birth with thankful praise and worship!

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.

And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
—Isaiah 9:6-7 (NKJV)

Then the seventh angel sounded:
And there were loud voices in heaven, saying,
“The kingdoms of this world have become
the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ,
and He shall reign forever and ever!”

—Revelation 11:15 (NKJV)

Wonderful Counselor

Wonderful Wednesday

When I woke up this morning in extreme pain again and realized this was another Wonderful Wednesday, I couldn’t imagine anything wonderful about this day. And then the Lord brought this Bible passage to mind.

A Child is Born

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given,

and the government will be on his shoulders.

And he will be called

   Wonderful Counselor,

Mighty God,

Everlasting Father,

Prince of Peace.

Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end.

He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom,

establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness

from that time on and forever.

The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

—Isaiah 9:6-7

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for graciously gifting us with the ultimate present — the gift of Your only Son— as the first step in Your salvation plan so we can live with, love and glorify You forever and ever!
